Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative — the alcohol is what allows a reconstituted vial to be entered more than once without the contamination risk of plain sterile water, which is why it is the standard diluent for multi-use research vials.Volume follows the concentration you need rather than the peptide itself: the same 10 mg vial can be reconstituted to very different concentrations depending on water added.
